More About Dr Andrew Rochester
Dr Andrew Rochester completed his dental degree at Peninsula Dental School, Plymouth. Since then he has focused on completing further training order that he is able to deliver more advanced dentistry, specifically in the areas of oral surgery, gum disease (periodontology), and dental implants.
Andrew is currently completing a Masters Degree in Periodontology and is able to treat patients with complex periodontal problems. This means he is able provide treatment for advanced gum disease including surgery where required. This includes completing gum grafting for recession and can help improve the appearance of front teeth – this is particularly useful when having crowns or veneers placed on those front teeth. Lastly, he can complete regenerative surgery – replacing bone lost thanks to periodontal disease, with synthetic bone. This can be completed depending on the individual circumstances of each patient.
Dr Rochester comprehensively examines the current health of your gums, and offers treatment solutions that will reduce the chance of experiencing pain or tooth loss.
Andrew has completed implant training with the ‘Campbell Academy,’ one of the leading independent Implant Dental Training Establishments in the UK. In addition to this a Masters Degree in Periodontology incorporates dental implant training and in particular the treatment of patients with dental implants and problems relating to gum disease.
A devoted family man, Andrew and enjoys spending time with his wife, who is a local GP and his two young children. His interests outside the practice include all aspects of outdoor life, from walking on Dartmoor to climbing, surfing and kitesurfing.
