Why patients come to us

Living with missing teeth is rarely straightforward

Whether it’s difficulty eating, self-consciousness in conversation, or the daily nuisance of a loose denture, the effects are practical as well as personal. A dental implant addresses the root of the problem, not just the surface.

The challenge
Difficulty chewing certain foods
A denture that moves, clicks, or needs adhesive
Bone loss in the jaw where a tooth is absent
Neighbouring teeth shifting over time
Self-consciousness when speaking or smiling
How implants help
A fixed, stable replacement that functions like a natural tooth
No adhesives, no removable parts, no compromise
The implant stimulates the jawbone, helping preserve its structure
Adjacent healthy teeth are left undisturbed
Restores confidence to eat, speak, and smile without thinking about it
Tailored to your needs

From a single tooth to a full smile

Whatever you’re missing, there’s an implant-based solution. At your consultation Dr Rochester will explain which options suit your situation and goals.

Precision planning

Planned digitally, placed accurately

Accurate implant placement starts with accurate planning. For more comprehensive cases, your assessment may combine:

Combining these allows highly accurate, fully digital treatment planning — so your implant is positioned for the best possible function and long-term success. A comprehensive assessment may also include a full clinical examination and further radiographs.

The Journey

Your journey, from consultation to result

Implant treatment is a staged process. Dr Rochester will explain every step and give realistic timescales for your situation.

1
Implant consultation with Dr Rochester
Understands your goals, then assesses teeth, gums and jawbone. You leave knowing if implants suit you, what’s involved and the cost.
£20 deposit — refunded after attendance or credited to treatment
2
Treatment planning & imaging
Radiographic imaging where required to assess bone density and anatomy, plus a detailed plan and full cost breakdown before treatment begins.
3
Implant placement
A small titanium post is placed into the jawbone under local anaesthetic. No pain during the procedure; mild post-op discomfort typically settles within days.
4
Healing period (osseointegration)
The implant integrates with the bone over a few weeks, giving long-term stability. Most patients carry on as normal.
5
Crown placement & final result
A custom ceramic crown matched to your natural teeth is fitted. The result is indistinguishable from a natural tooth and built to last.

FAQs

Here are some of the most commonly asked questions about Dental Implants. At Gold's Place Dental, we take a personalised approach to every treatment, ensuring care is tailored to your individual needs. If you have any questions or would like further information, our team will be happy to help.

Am I suitable for dental implants?

Most adults with good general health are suitable candidates, though suitability depends on the condition of your gums, the density and volume of your jawbone, and whether any underlying health conditions need to be considered. Dr Rochester’s MSc in Periodontology means he brings postgraduate-level expertise to assessing gum and bone health — precisely the factors that determine implant suitability and long-term success. Some patients require a bone grafting procedure before implant placement is possible. Dr Rochester will assess all of these factors at your consultation and give you an honest, specific answer based on your own clinical picture.

Will it hurt?

The placement procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia, so you will not feel pain during treatment. Most patients report that it is considerably more straightforward than they anticipated. Some post-operative discomfort, mild swelling, and sensitivity is normal in the days following placement; this typically resolves within a week and is managed comfortably with standard over-the-counter pain relief.

How long do dental implants last?

Dental implants are designed to be a permanent solution. With proper care and regular maintenance, many patients retain their implants for decades. Longevity depends on factors including oral hygiene, whether you smoke, and the health of the surrounding bone over time — which is why Dr Rochester’s specialist background in periodontology is directly relevant to the lasting success of your implant. He will discuss what you can do to protect your investment at your consultation.

What happens at the £20 consultation?

Dr Rochester will conduct a thorough clinical assessment — examining your teeth, gums, and the quality of the bone in the area where the implant is proposed. He will discuss what you are hoping to achieve, explain the treatment process and likely timescales, and provide a full breakdown of costs. You are under no obligation to proceed. The £20 deposit is returned to you in full if you choose not to go ahead, or credited against your treatment if you do.

Do you offer payment plans for implants?

Yes. Interest-free patient finance is available through our finance partner, Tabeo. This allows you to spread the cost of treatment over an agreed period without paying more than the treatment price. Dr Rochester will be able to discuss finance options at your consultation, and our team can guide you through the application process, which takes only a few minutes. Finance is subject to status.
